Penalized for Helping
A physician helped a teenage patient get better and in return he was investigated and then penalized by the Washington State Medical Quality Assurance Commission (MQAC) for the treatment he used. Even though the patient and her parents testified on behalf of the doctor, MQAC didn't take in account the patient's or parents testimony when they made the decision to penalize the doctor. MQAC chose to make their decision based on paid-for testimony given by a self proclaimed quackbuster physician who hasn't practiced medicine for over seven years and who has no personal experience with any of the procedures he testified against.

Save our holistic physicians!! It is my understanding that at this moment, four physicians are being persecuted by Washington State’s Medical Quality Assurance Commission (MQAC) because they offer holistic medical care. Washington State’s citizens cannot afford to allow MQAC to continue its unsolicited and illegal persecution of holistic physicians. MQAC has perverted the legislatures’ intent to protect holistic physicians from having their medical licenses taken away for simply practicing holistic medicine.

Since the current MQAC does not have any holistic practitioners on its board, I think that Washington State should establish a new medical board consisting solely of holistic practitioners. These practitioners would be MDs or DOs with specialized training in nutritional medicine; acupuncture; environmental medicine; anti-aging medicine; clinical toxicology; oxidative therapies; homeopathy; kinesiology; immune system support; adjuncts to traditional cancer therapies, and other important holistic modalities.

The Governor should appoint the members of the new Washington State Holistic Medical Board. Washington State’s citizens cannot afford to allow MQAC to continue its unsolicited and illegal persecution of holistic physicians. Please institute the new Washington State Holistic Medical Board immediately so that our citizens can have the medical care of their choice.

If you do not make these changes soon, MQAC will have successfully removed all holistic medical doctors from the State of Washington and Washington State will become famous for its stand against holistic physicians. Please use your political power and influence to establish the new Washington State Holistic Medical Board so that Washington citizens can continue to have access to holistic care locally.

Shocking Report
A shocking report by the Seattle Times revealed the Washington State Medical Quality Assurance Commission's inability to appropriately investigate and punish sex-offending physicians while at the same time aggressively pursuing a holistic MD for demonstrating—but not using—an electrodermal testing machine, charging him with moral turpitude (a charge later dropped), and finally suspending his license for five years.
